Lead, We Stand Against Cyberbullying Programme

Dr Abdullahi Chowdhury

Dr Abdullahi Chowdhury is the Founding Director (Collaboration and Partnership) at NGAIRC and an Online Course Facilitator with Adelaide University Online and Learning Futures. He holds a PhD and brings expertise in AI-enabled learning systems, human-centred design and cross-institutional research partnerships, and he leads NGAIRC’s engagement with industry, universities and government. As Lead of the We Stand Against Cyberbullying programme, he presented at the 2026 school seminars, delivered the keynote at East West University and prepared the 2026 Student Survey Report.

Assoc. Prof. Mohammad Manzurul Islam

Assoc. Prof. Mohammad Manzurul Islam is an Australian academic and researcher specialising in machine learning, trustworthy artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and IoT systems. He is the Founding Director (Research and Innovation) at NGAIRC, and his research focuses on building AI systems that are robust, explainable and ethically aligned with real-world deployment needs. He leads the programme’s work in Bangladesh and convened the 2026 seminar at East West University.

Dr Shahriar Kaisar

Dr Shahriar Kaisar is an accomplished researcher in data analytics, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. His research expertise includes developing advanced cyberthreat detection and mitigation strategies, utilising state-of-the-art artificial intelligence tools to tackle complex business and health informatics challenges, and devising innovative solutions to facilitate seamless content sharing using advanced networking capabilities. To drive the adoption of artificial intelligence, his most recent study focused on generative and explainable AI in business decision making. Dr Kaisar is vastly experienced in human-centric data collection research involving large groups of people. His excellent work has featured in various prestigious international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Dr Kaisar earned his PhD from Monash University, Australia, and a research-based master’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He has held various academic positions in Australia, Canada, and Bangladesh.

Ashiful Nahar Bithi

Cybershield Tool Development

Ashiful Nahar Bithi is a Computer Science graduate working at the intersection of computer vision, assistive technology, and human-computer interaction. Her work focuses on building intelligent, privacy-first software. She enjoys bridging deep learning research with full-stack engineering to build reliable, practical systems that directly support human workflows.

Nabila Hoque

Head of Public Relations

Nabila Hoque is a plant molecular biology researcher specialising in genetics, plant breeding, and molecular diagnostics. She completed her Master’s degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Bangladesh Agricultural University. She studied soybean genotypes resistant to yellow mosaic virus using molecular marker techniques. Her research integrates PCR-based genotyping and plant disease resistance screening to support sustainable crop improvement. She has contributed to interdisciplinary publications on plant disease resistance, artificial intelligence in research, and emerging scientific technologies. Alongside her research, she works as a horticulturist at Gardenworld Nursery in Melbourne, focusing on plant care, pest management, and nursery operations.
