Talent is evenly distributed. Opportunity is not.
Organised by the Next Generation Artificial Intelligence Research Centre (NGAIRC), Australia
Women build careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics across many countries, institutions and disciplines, yet the paths they travel are rarely equal. This seminar examines the trajectory of women in global STEM professions through three connected themes: the resilience that sustains a career through barriers and setbacks, the innovation that women bring to research, teaching and industry, and the leadership that opens doors for those who follow.
The seminar is framed by a simple premise: talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not. It invites students, researchers, educators and professionals to reflect on what more equitable opportunity in STEM could look like, and is part of NGAIRC’s Women in STEM initiative.
